Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.

All members getting Emails on new posts? was created by MartinD
Hi

Even though a member is not subscribed to a thread they are still getting new emails every time some one posts, this means a lot of emails..

How can I stop this?

It would seems some members are set to receive moderator emails even tho they are not moderators...

See if Security / E-mail Administrators is turned on. If it is, you can either disable it or fix user settings in Joomla User Admin: Receive System E-mails should be turned off!

Thx for reply - It was set to no but looking at some user they have it set to "Yes" under Receive System E-mails..

Not sure how to set that to "No" by default

It should be no, as that option is meant only for site admins.

Hope I am not Hi-jacking this tread

We are a small group of about 150 members that are in transition to this forum from using the Yahoo List-serve. We have the opposite need. A lot of members do not now like the fact that they have to go to the forum to see what new posts there are. I am not a moderator on the site - just a member and seeing the above post, I would like to know if we can "un-fix" our forum to do what the original poster was wanting fixed.
Our Webmeister/Administrator/Moderator is a very busy guy and I am just trying to help him out by getting some info to him.

If it can be "unfixed", can it be done selectively on a member by member basis so that if someone does not want all posts sent to them, it can be turned off for that member? or does it have to be an across the whole member setting?

Thanks for your help. This seems to be the only major item of dis-like of our membership for this new forum.

Components / Kunena Forum / Kunena Configuration / Security / E-mail Administrators = Yes
Site / Administer Users / User / Receive System E-mails = Yes

Unfortunately this can only be done by admin.
