I'm using version 1.5.4, and I previously tried the newer version.
My problem;
I cannot install anything, at all. I cannot change the permissions to 777, or anything else, it will just come up an error and change back to 755.
I have tried installing ranking images, templates, and a few other things, and not one of them will work. I have tried this through a FTP client and Cpanel. I would like to know how to fix this, as I want to open my community as soon as possible. So please, tell me what I need to do.

Edit: Another thing, I'm a super administrator. I made a admin only forums, for my other administrators. But, since I'm Super Admin, it wont let me access it. How do I change this?

Regards,
Crusix

Hello,

check your directory permissions in joomla! backend : help -> system info -> directory permissions

you can change permissions with a FTP client like filezilla, look here : www.tech-evangelist.com/2007/07/15/filezilla-tips/

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Okay, I contacted my host and got the first problem fixed. Now, can I get help on my other one? About the 'Admin only' forum.

This issue should be fixed in K1.5.8.

If not, try to set Include Child Groups: yes
