Firstly I browse an image on my pc from the 'select image to attach' and click submit. This then saves and displays the image however; how do I then place a link on that image. When I click on edit I do not see an image but bb code! What am I doing wrong? I cannot understand how to add additional code as link! Is there an easier process or could you give me an example of the complete code I may use as an example?

Regards

Toni

Hello,

you need to use these bbcodes without the * :

xillibit's answer is technically correct, if you want to link an image that already exists on a website.

If I understand the question correctly, you want to upload an image and use the uploaded image in the message. Is that right?

To do this, you need do the following:
  1. Use Select image file to attach
  2. Click the Browse... button to locate the file on your PC that you want to upload
  3. Click the [img] button located next to the Browse... button: this inserts a [img/] placeholder in your message.
  4. Submit your message. The placeholder will be replaced by your uploaded image.

Thanks for your quick reply but; i want to upload a banner from my pc and then link it to my affiliate link. Once I have uploaded the image and then try to edit to add the link the image doesn't show; only the bbcode.

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you mean. There is no image to right click on. This is what I have:

www.mysite.com/media/kunena/attachments/...steer_600_banner.png with the img tags either end

How do I add my affiliate link to take this image to another site?

I have just edited this post as upon submit the image shows but upon editing the image disappears and I only get the code.
