Question Two Forums on One Site?

I have a site with one Joomla install set up as two separate areas for separate users. Each area needs its own Forum. I know how to set up a single forum to be used independently, but I need two separate forums, each with it's own CSS control. That would be two separate installs into one Joomla domain. Is this possible?

Thanks much!

Currently no. I've done some preparations for this in K1.6, but it's not high priority.

Please add it into our UserVoice (link in front page) and link it into feature requests forum with some comments..

Hello everyone...

I'm not sure if my question is similar or not to what davemgood is asking? But if you don't mind i'd like to ask just out of curiousity!

Is it possible either now, or in K1.6 to have one Forum, but with a private sub category in which only certain users/people/members could view? AKA: like an admin section private from the general public.

Thanks to all

Yes, you can use Joomla groups to do that.

i think is talking some s*** but, why you don't try to install another forum (be joomla native or not) cause i think this way you get to have two forum without compromise one with the other.

You can try this, it is an older tutorial:

Or:

one german guy (helrunar) has built actual clones of kunena-forum with this tutorial ;), I did not install them, so I don't know, if they are complete english (date too). Check it.
