The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

Does anyone know how to restrict a forum to a specific group of registered users without having to upgrade those users to authors, etc.
Basically, I want to make a category of a forum visible to only specific users but don't want to have to make them "authors" or anything above registered.
Is there any way to do this? I searched the forums and there was mention of installing a component called noixACL, but it's very complicated to install, and it is not clear if that even solves the problem.
