Question Can't display name instead of username

Hi!

I'm using Kunena 1.5.12 and Joomla 1.5.21 and I just can't get to display names instead of usernames although I made these changes in configuration:
Here I have selected "No"

Here I have written "2"



Can anybody help?

As a new user of the forum, may I ask why you are using K 1.5, please? If you are a new user of Kunena, we recommend that users install K 1.6.

Hi!

I have installed 1.5 version a few months back, when 1.6 wasn't stable, but main reason was there was 1.5 Slovenian language available. Also I've found appropriate template. I will try to find time to update in the future.

About my question: I have set Username to No, everything in my configuration is set to display name instead of username but it's still not working.

I have copied site on my localhost, updated Kunena to 1.6, set this in config:

* User Related > Display User Name > No
* Userlist > Show Real Name > Yes
* Userlist > Show Username > No

I have still username instead of name.

This topic was originally started as a K 1.5 question and I will complete the answer for K 1.5 users. The translation to K 1.6 should not be that difficult to manage.

If you want to show the user's username when you display the messages they have posted, use the setting

Kunena Forum » Kunena Configuration » Frontend » User Related » Username = Yes

If you want to show the user's real name when you display the messages they have posted, use the setting

It's completely clear to me how should I configure Kunena as it's pretty straight forward.

But for some strange reason it's not completely working.
I have names instead of usernames in user list but not in categories/forums.

I'm attaching sreenshots of frontend and backend.
