Introduction:
The Kunena team is thrilled to announce the final release of Kunena 5.2.9, a native Joomla extension for Joomla 3.10. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 5.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages.
You need Joomla 3.10 to run Kunena 5.2.9 (still works on J! 3.9), the minimal requirement for Php has been increased to 7.0.4. Kunena 5.2.8 can runs too with Php 8.0.
For users of template Blue eagle5, please update to release of Blue eagle5 v1.6.7 or more recent before updating Kunena to 5.2.9. This template isn't designed to works with Bootstrap 4 and 5, please stay with default Boostrap version from Joomla!.

The Kunena team is thrilled to announce the third public release candidate of Kunena 6.0, a native Joomla extension for Joomla 4.x. This is a development release and should be only be used for testing; this version is not recommended for live websites at this stage.
The purpose of this release is to encourage testing by downloading, installing and identifying any problems or shortcomings that people may discover. K 6.0.0 RC3 is stable and we are aware that people will discover defects. We encourage you to use the forum to report defects, as soon as they are discovered, so that the development team can work through the problems before the release of K 6.0 as a stable product. Reporting defects does not mean that the problems can or will be fixed. The Kunena team is looking forward to hearing your feedback on how well we have achieved our design goals.

On RC3 it remains issue with mail notifications which has been fixed in RC4 developpement version, the most important issues which remains is that the new smilies doesn't work and you can't re-order categories in backend. If these issues aren't annoying for you, just test before on a test site to check
I'm building a new site based on Joomla version 4 and in the last step in the progress is adding a forum.
But now i like to know is there any indication when the full release of Kunena 6 is released,
Or is it safe to start with the current release candidate and update the the final release when its released.

This RC2 has some changes to make working the discuss plugin for K6.0 and module latest for K6.0 which has been released in same time. This RC2 is meant to test the update process wit Joomla! updater from RC1 to RC2 and to improve translations.Discuss this article
There are only the Kunena Discuss and Kunena Latest Module, which works on Joomla! 4.1 with Kunena 6.0 you can find here in the bottom of the page the beta version for them : www.kunena.org/download
Sine the beta1 of the version 6.0 of Kunena Latest Module there was couple of fixes added, i need to make a new release for it
