In the upgrade process (which was started from inside Joomla), the screen became white. Now I can´t reach both front and back-end and the entire Joomla site (2.5.11.)
I have tried to copy fresh Joomla files over the site without any luck.

Any suggestion??

I had the same issue. Deleting the Kunena folders on the host using ftp (or cpanel) solved the issue for me to get the site back up; however, YMMV.

I am still searching through the forums to find a solution to the problem that has plagued me. While I haven't figured it out yet, my current thought is that I'm exceeding the SQL limit set by my host as I have been experiencing a lot more errors about the database not being found and/or exceeding resource limits.

Hello,

look in apache or php log if you can see an error related to that.

I've had the same thing happen to me and I tested the installation on a local site as well.
Basically using the Joomla installation screen and as soon as it starts the page goes full white and nothing. Entire site crashed, front and back end. The only way out of it was to restore from backup.

Tried several times and gave up on Kenuna 3, using Kenuna 2 for now.

I am seeing this issue when i try to upgrade from kunena 2.x to 3.0.0/3.0.1. I tried uninstalling the whole existing 2.x installation but still get the white screen. Would posting my 2.x config help?

Enable Joomla debug mode when you run the installer.

The circumstances that cause the white screen of death will be different in every case,

Yes, it may help to show us the K 2.0.whatever configuration report, but it would be better to know what error occurs that results in the white screen. Joomla debug mode and your Apache error log will give us the clues.

Which software installation method did you use? The upload installation package method, the install from another directory method or the install from URL method?
