Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 3.0.5: Lost the ability to ban users was created by Gooner
Hi,

We have just upgraded to 3.0.5 and our mods have lost the ability to ban a user. The new ban tab has disappeared from a users profile - does anyone know how we can fix this?

The new ban tab only appears if you are logged-in as an administrator or global moderator. Category moderators cannot ban users.

Just upgraded to 3.0.6 on a test version of our site and we still don't appear to have the new ban tab (I'm an admin and have also tried it as a global mod). We also no longer have the ability to edit other users forum accounts. :blink:

In that case this is not a problem caused by K 3.0. It sounds like a problem caused by another Joomla extension (a component, plugin, template or module) you are using. The tabs (including the ban user tab) are controlled by Javascript. See Javascript and Kunena in the Wiki for more background information.

When you wrote that you "just upgraded" to K 3.0.6 (even K 3.0.5) what version of Kunena were you using before when the ban user feature was working? Did you install or upgrade another Joomla component around the same time when this ability to ban users stopped working? :dry:
