G'day, smdstudios, and welcome to the forum.

We can't see the fatal error (when people enter a category) if we cannot login to your forum. You have setup your forum so that only registered users can see it.

Do you have details of the actual error message? I suggest you read HTTP 500 Internal Server Error which may give you some more information to help you with your particular problem(s).

It might also help if you read Kunena Menu issues to remove what appear to be duplicated items from your menu. In other words, try using a simpler, default Kunena menu.

Thanks for your reply...

I fixed the kunena menu item you mentioned and looked into the 500 error page you sent and really couldn't make anything out of it that would resolve my issue.

I made the forum view public and the weird thing is it appears you can browser the index page just fine as a guest entering via the category list, also dug a little further and a normal register user is fine also just the admin accounts are getting the internal server error I had explained before.

If you are getting the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error when you login as an administrator, it is probably not Kunena that is causing this to happen. It's probably some other Joomla extension that is causing the error.

Did you try enabling Kunena Debug mode (as described in the Wiki article) to give you more information about the error?

Unless we can see the same errors you are getting - by using an account on your site that reveals this information to us - or know more about what other information is generated when you get the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error ), there is really not a lot that we can do to assist you. If you read the article you will see that HTTP 500 Internal Server Errors are not very descriptive without the additional information that may be available when you use debug mode.
