Question "New" indicator not functioning properly

I am running Kunena 1.7.2 inside of Joomla 2.5.1 and I'm having a problem with the "New" indicator on posts. I would think this has something to with the Joomla Session timeout or Kunena session timeout, but I just can't figure it out.

PROBLEM:
When the user reads all of the posts in a topic they are all marked as read (which is good). Lets say 10 new were shown and after they are read the "NEW" indicator is gone.(Still good) However, when someone submits one new post in that topic that same user now sees 11 "NEW" posts.

Any thoughts?

Do you have the same version of Joomla, Alpha User Points, JomSocial, Kunena, Kunena add-ons, etc., as the person who started this topic?

This is known limitation in how new messages were handled in Kunena. I'm going to fix that in K2.0 -- most of it is already in place, so we can nail the bug.
