Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Seeking support (including financial support) to migrate other forums directly to K 1.6 was created by sozzled

I discussed the issue of migration from other forum types to K 1.6 (natively) without the need to go through some hacked or interim intermediate stage (e.g. using Fireboard or older versions of Kunena as been done in the past). The development team considers that the first priority should be phpBB3 -> Kunena but, because there are no unpaid resources available at this time, financial support is needed to engage a programmer to work on the task full-time to make real progress.

I have created a new category in the feedback feature to allow people to add their voice to those areas which they see as their "number one priority" needs.

We are also considering a way of allowing members of the community to assist in this task by donating funds so that work can progress further if that helps. What do you think?
