Good day! I had a problem with Kunena on my site. I installed the forum ver. 1.6.4 on Joomla! ver. 1.6.5. The forum worked except one thing. I couldn't save any changes in my profile. And it was because the button 'Save' didn't work. It was nothing when I pushed the button. I tried to synchronize users, but it didn't help: I couldn't save any changes in the profile. Then I switched on the standard registration module (I had mod_loginregister 1.5.6aJ1.6 before on my site). And finally it started working. Now I can save any changes. So, the question is can it be the problem just in the registration module (mod_loginregister) or is it a problem in Kunena and the forum cannot support any other registration module except a standard one? Thank's in advance.

G'day, orsouser, and welcome to Kunena.

Please read What information should I include when I ask for help (including how to post my configuration report)?

Please do not edit that report. There are certain details in that report that you have removed. Please don't remove any of that information.

Is this something that comes standard with J! 1.6 or is this a Joomla extension?

mod_loginregister is an extension for Joomla! I used this instead of standard registration.

Hello,

You have maybe a javascript conflict somewhere, please check in firebug if you see javascript errors.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

go is not defined
edit() edit (line 93)
jQuery.noConflict(go); edit (line 93)

nothing else was found.

I downloaded the Login Register module from JM Experts and installed it on a fully-working test site build on J! 1.7. This module does not work with K 1.6.x (well, it does, in part, but you have to know where to look to find the bits that break) and disables the profile Save button.

Simple solution: do not publish the Login Register module on any Kunena pages on your site.
