Hi,

i'm running Kunena version 6.0.0-RC3 on Joomla Build 4.1.4 and i'm experiencing the following issue.
When i try to moderate a topic or forum post i keep getting a 404 message, this happens to all moderation tasks.

Can someone tell me whats going wrong with this.

Check your spam folder. Some mail providers like gmx treat Kunena mails as spam because so many are sent.

How do I set up Kunena so that users get an email when there is a post to a forum?

Hello. The joomla login plugin is activated, but I am not using it. All the content of my website will be public, except the forum (to keep control about trolls, spammers, etc.) In global is activated the "allow register new users". In the forum menu, is where I want to have the kunena login form, but when I run the site, and press the kunena button to register new user, do not work.
My joomla version is 3.10.6
My kunena forum version is 5.2.8
I upload an image to attachment section.

Kunena V6 RC2 Issue : No more category available was created by tramber91
Hi All

fist test with Kunena 6 RC2
Before migration to joomla 4  I have disable Kunena system plugin
After migration, I have updated Kunena to V6 RC2  (Kunena system plugin enable after migration)

First issue: I have no more categories available in Kunana dashboard  ?
I have checked database, table _kunena_categories, they are always here !!

Also
On tools, i have Run Diagnostics to see if Kunena is working properly.
I(ve got this error message
Unknown column 'a.parentid' in 'where clause'

I have done this already specifically all the way back to full release of beta 6. However did this again. It does not appear to change anything, which is leading me to think perhaps something has been written to one of the tables which is causing the error. Using the tools, diagnostics shows no errors. What I did.
Went to system extensions and uninstalled the Kunena extensions.
In the web directory made sure both directories in /components and /administrator/components are removed.
Tried to load from my menu item and get 404 error. (this is the funny part as it knows it's missing).
Reloaded with 01-05 nightly
(repeat all of above with reload of 01-07 nightly. )
trash and burn menu items and rebuild.
No change.

This leads me to believe it's not the web directory files where the problem is, it's in the tables.
I pulled the text from _kunena_configuration below. Could you advise if you see anything that shouldn't be there?

I have installed the "pkg_kunena_v6.0.0-BETA7-DEV_2022-01-04" on Joomla 4.0.5 with Kunena 5.2.6 disabled.
No katergories are displayed, nothing is highlighted in the configuration report when the select all button is pressed.

What I find weird is also when I hit "New Topic" and try and submit I get a 404 error. Also Modules load on pages like New Topic? Not sure how to make them not load on that page?

Made some progress by changing the settings in Kunena's SEF:


Title Option Description
Search Engine Friendly URLs
Yes

Select whether or not URLs are optimized for search engines. NOTE: Kunena accepts SEF URLs even if this feature has been turned off.
Direct Component Access
Yes

Set Yes to allow direct access to https:/, but only after proper testing. Disabling this feature improves SEO and brings some protection against spam bots. Warning: If you see 404 Component not found. errors after setting this option to No, please check that you have correctly set up the Kunena menu.
Support Legacy URLs
No
Select Kunena version to add support for legacy URLs starting from that version. You have been using Kunena since version 5.2.4. This feature keeps all the old links pointing to the forum working.

SEF Redirect
No
Redirect the page when the itemid is missing. Disabling this option has a negative seo impact


So now I can get past the index page to see all the listings in the , it just goes back to a blank screen. I've tried testing out various combinations of Kunena's SEF.

I dont have a clue whats going on but I have never had this issue in the past.

New Category Button Error was created by joecort64
I am running BETA 6 in a test environment where I migrated from 5.2.6 to 6.xx. Since the migration the migrated categories are not showing in the category list and if I try to create a new category I get the following error:An error has occurred.

1054 Unknown column 'parentid' in 'where clause'
