This zip file only contains the English language script. If several languages are installed in Joomla (in your case English and German), these language scripts must also be present in the "lang" folder.
But I think I have found the error. Have you ever created a customckeditor_config.js to change the language? If so, then comment out the code CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1, "de":1}.
From
Code:
CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1, "de":1}.
to
Code:
// CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1, "de":1}.

It's not an issue with Akeeba Panopticon, so much as an issue with the Joomla API.  If the API works, Panopticon will work, too.

Browse to:  testsite.aiskon.net/api/

The expected output is:
Code:
{"errors":[{"title":"Resource not found","code":404}]}

If the Kunena - Community Builder Integration plugin is enabled, the API gives this instead:
Code:
Unable to handle request for route ``.

Hello,
This two things aren't yet implemented into the integration of SCeditor into Kunena

Okay, but where does the SCEditor take the path ".../media/kunena/emoticons/emoticons" take from?

Do-you have something displayed into the javascript console when this issue happens ? Do-you know for your users which have not changed the language in their Joomla! profile settings ? Or they have set a specific language ?

If ou have a test site or an account on your site to try

I have a test site and an account where I can reproduce the issue. I will take a look into the Javascript-Console. I already tested if the issue has something to do with the preferred Joomla language, but the issue occurs always, no matter if I choose "Default", "English" oder "German".

I've tried to figure out where the SCEditor configuration is stored, but with not much success. When I use the browsers developer tools, I can see that the SCEditor searches for emoticons in the wrong path ".../media/kunena/emoticons/emoticons". I created a new folder "emoticons" inside the /media/emoticons folder and copied the complete emoticon files into this folder, but the SCEditor shows only some (default?) smilies in the dropdown menu. So I wonder where is the list of emoticons that SCEditor wants to load?

And where can I configure the toolbar, e.g. which buttons should be shown and which not?
Hello,
This two things aren't yet implemented into the integration of SCeditor into Kunena

Yes, I know that the SCEditor is not yet fully integrated into Kunena and the Devs sure are working hard on this topic. But the problem is that the CKeditor is not usable anymore since the last update, so I was forced to switch to the SCEditor. But as this is still not completely usable, I can see that more and more of my users are keeping away from my forum. The number of posts is rapidly decreasing which is twice as hard for me, because it is a small niche forum.

So any hint is highly appreciated!

Thanks a lot in advance!

When clicking Reply, Quote, Edit, Moderate, or Delete, I get the 404 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: topic, html, site error screen.  The only button that works is Quick Reply.

Figured it was a version issue, so I updated Joomla and Kunena as well as a new template and the issue persists.

Attached is the 404 error with the F12 Console details showing.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi Rich.

There are two languages installed in Joomla, english and german

And so are the languages for CKEditor

How many languages do you have installed in Joomla? Navigate to /media/kunena/core/js/lang/ and check if there are the same number of script files. For each language installed in Joomla there must be a corresponding script.

What is your problem with CKEditor? In my forum it works perfectly with Joomla 4.4.3 and Kunena 6.2.4

Just manually delete all kunena tables from your database if you are not planning to use it in your Joomla 4 site.

In principle you are right, but the user aimlesslady wants everything from Kunena to be removed completely.

I have added the actual zip installation package with updated plugins and premium addons (not yet released on github)
If you need it, you may try it (languages are reduced to english, german and french - others (old) on github)
(I know some sites where it is up and running - joomlaforum.ch/joomla4-erweiterungen/388...te-fuer-kunena-forum )

File Attachment:

File Name: uddeIM_5.0...uage.zip
File Size:4,939 KB

you now can also d/l it from github:

Chances are the Kunena version I used was before 5.x.
The component was uninstalled while still in Joomla 3. It was probably uninstalled via the System>Manage Extensions, not Kunena Tools.
I am currently using Joomla 4.
What are my options now? Do I install version 6.x? Then uninstall it?

Install Kunena again, then go to Kunena -> Tools and uninstall Kunena there. This will remove Kunena and its database.
However, you should have done this before upgrading to Joomla 4, because if Kunena was not minimum K5.1 beforehand, the installation (migration) to Joomla 4 will not work and cannot be removed in this way.
