I did a search in the forum, before asking elsewhere for Gravatar, and it amazed me the results:

Dozens of results where the query is not even present!

Missing Kunena Menu was created by KZQ
I'm pretty sure that I've created this mess but I cannot get the Kunena menu to dosplay.
I'd appreciate any insights you may be able to offer.

Disappearance of Recent Posts on the Forum was created by lemur
A strange incident occurred on two of my independent websites. Around late November to early December, posts from this year disappeared from the forums. More specifically, the forums began displaying posts published before mid-January of this year. To be even more precise, the forum databases somehow "reverted" to their state from mid-January. For example, this is also how the forums are seen by Community Builder.
Unfortunately, I was preoccupied with other matters and did not track the exact date or circumstances that might have caused this.

I would assume that something happened on the server (especially since the hosting provider performed some maintenance during this time), but articles entered during the "missing posts" period are still present on the site.

The last Kunena update to version 6.3.6 was performed on 10 November 2024. The last backup (Akeeba) with the "normal" forum state was made on 25 November 2024.
I am so perplexed about how this could have happened that I am sharing this information primarily to inform Kunena developers and users, not expecting to uncover the exact cause.

However, I do have a practical question: is it possible to restore just the Kunena database fragment from the appropriate backup while ensuring that all of Kunena's connections with the site (Community Builder, Kunena Discuss, etc.) remain intact? For example, would it be sufficient to replace all Kunena-prefixed tables in the database with those from the backup?I am attaching two configuration reports from the smaller of the two websites—one from a backup restored on WAMP server and another from the current server (with the posts missing).

Hi there, its the first time that Kunena has actually been used on the site after getting the menus finally fixed (Thanks for the help!)
However it has been discovered that when someone replies to a post the following error occurs but the text does still get posted.

Oooh good find! I have changed that setting now. There was no real reason why this was set up this way. Think last time someone checked it out was before 2011.

The duplicate items were trashed, I've deleted them for sanities sake ;)

Access to the forum homepage is set up via an menu item alias on the main menu.

I've recently noticed that videos stored in images/videos no longer work when embedded in Kunena posts. They certainly did work in the past, but I'm not sure how recently - possibly they have not worked since moving to Joomla4, but I think it was probably more recent than that.

I use the format {mp4}video_name{/mp4}.

I've tried disabling autolink urls, but that has made no difference.

Kunena still plays YouTube and Vimeo videos.

Hi there!
So I after purchasing a template I was then able to experiment with Kunena our site. All seemed to be good until we go to edit a post which results in an error

This happens with the default template as well as the newly purchased one, we are a little confused :)

How to change text colours on Kunena? was created by gjay
Hi there! I am running Kunena using the Socialize II template in dark mode, alongside jomsocial (using game dark mode template).
I have recently installed Kunena onto the site and the background is  dark just as I want it but all the text colours are dark too, which makes things unreadable.
Is there a way of brightening the text? I have had a look on the forums and documentation but I am still at a loss, this is a big learning curve for me at the moment :)

beim Einloggen über Kunena Login funktioniert keine Seite, außer Kunena Forum. Und zwar bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

Hello folks,
I believe I've confused Kunena when I tried to properly organize my menu. At one point I agreed to let kunena recreate the defalt menu. After which I had to recreate all of my custom catgories. that seemed to work until I found that if I tried to reply or quote any post I just got kicked back to my home page.
