Attach image to post, it seems to upload, but can't open was created by fribse
Upgraded to 2.0.1 on the production site after finding most settings needed, and bug fixing with 2.0.1.

I just discovered a new problem.
When a user attaches an image to a post, it seem to upload (though the file size are getting very small), but if I 'insert' the image, it just shows the title, and not the image.
Clicking on it, just produces a lightbox with a rotating 'loadingsymbol'.

Error if CB avatars in kunena was created by fichier
hello,
After upgrading from 1.7.2 to 2.0.1 i had to disable the integration of CB avatars (Kunena Plugins => Kunena - CommunityBuilder Integration ==> enable avatars from CB).
if I activate it I get this error in the categories of the forum and in my profile CB (see attached file):

I have upgraded a test version of a site from Kunena v1.7 to v2.0.1. The upgrade worked, but there are two issues:
- menu tabs are not showing (Index, Recent Topics etc)
- most thread emoticons are missing

The site is on Joomla v2.5.6. The Joomla template is JA_Purity_ii. The Kunena template is Blue Eagle 2.0 (although these issues arise with Blue Eagle 1.7 as well)

The test site is www.youngcc.co.uk/jtest2/ and can be compared with the live site www.staffierescuescotland.co.uk (which is about a week older than the test site). On the test site I have not yet upgraded the Forum Latest module. Thanks for any help in advance.

Two small issues in Blue Eagle 2.0 was created by roland76
Hello,

after update to Kunena 2.0 I found two small issues in Blue Eagel 2.0:

1. Recent-Topic-Page (Aktuell): White space( www.simple-quality.de/forum/aktuell.html )




=> Can't find anything why it's happen...

2. Index-Page (Kategorien) => Klick on the right side on a Latest Post from one of the categories



Now the topic is shown but over my page header. The menue on top and the logo isn't shown anymore...

Problem has been resolved. Turning on Gravatar integration caused the issue.

Ahhh...

I see that the problem I get (posted above) when I turn off the Gravatar integration is in the Known Issues for the 2.0 release. I tried the simple fix for that issue (trivial edit to the file mentioned in the error message) and the error went away. Now I can turn off all the integrations in the plug-in manager, particularly the Gravatar integration, and I am able to edit my avatar image.

(sorry for loss of context - this was in response to GoremanX's suggestions.)

I tried this (already was configured that way), and didn't see any difference. I do have the Gravatar integration turned on. If I turn that off, I get a 500 error:

Fatal Error: Cannot pass parameter 2 by reference in components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.file.class.1.6.php on line 60

You should be able to change avatar from Kunena if all the avatar integrations are turned off (plugins tab). I cannot reproduce this in my own environment -- editing profile always displays avatar tab.

I just installed CB and it solved the problem. :)

BUT I really don't need CB and I'm really kind of wanting to remove CB before this site goes live... I'm frustrated with not finding a way to change the avatar via Kunena - either on my own 2.0 installation or even this helpboard website. Why isn't there a button on the edit profile view to change the avatar?

I just upgraded, everything is working out after some tweaks. But my avatar on my test site is gone (replaced by a placeholder?). I can't find any way to change my user avatar? Where is the button to do this? I tried changing my avatar on this Kunena support forum, thinking that would give me a guide, but I can't find it here either. Where is the avatar control? This seems like a dumb question, but I guess it's important if I can't figure it out. :P

Use your avatars in Kunena

To integrate your avatars into Kunena, you need to create a small plugin. Easiest example how to do it can be found from here . For more examples, please see our existing integrations in here .

This is how the main plugin file looks like:

In the constructor you just need to add detection for your own component, so that plugin doesn't cause any fatal errors if your component isn't installed.

Once you have done that, you just need to implement your own logic to grab your avatar images into avatar.php file (example in here ).

To avoid having too many queries in Kunena pages, you should also implement a function that loads all users at once (put into KunenaAvatarYourComponent class):

On the other hand, to get Kunena avatar into your component, you need to start by detecting if Kunena can be found:
