Kunena 7.0.7 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.7 [K 7.0.7] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

I do not have Akeeba Backup. I have only backup file of my hosting, the file is tar.gz

okay difficult but if it's good you can also do it in a Unpack your own folder and then
look at your domain> domain name there again possible public_html or private_html
then again administrator>components>com_kunena>kunena.xml

maybe I wasn't quite clear.
So I did a test here on my Windows 10 PC. I also had my own domain tar.gz on my pc
So I put this in a new folder and just let it unpack windows 10 (winzip) and then you see the entire environment of your domain
as in my earlier attempt to explain this with the folders
but your backup may have a different structure think that may differ per hoster

How can I unpack and what do you mean?

Copy the tar.gz file in an empty foder on your PC and unpack it.
Then navigate to administrator/components/com_kunena and open the kunena.xml and check the version (see image).

I did as you suggested and it shows Kunena version 5.2.5.

Then why did I got error while upgrading Kunena?
