Yes, but the user can easily unsubscribe herself.

1) Go to the topic, and click unsubscribe.
2) Or go to profile -> Subscriptions tab

I think the link at the bottom of email is better.
Trust me, everybody will love it.

You can create a popup poll for this and show it in the main page of kunena.or.
I bet that "link at the bottom" will be the winner option.
