Thanks rich.

The error happens when selecting 'Recent Topics' and most categories but not all.

Opening categories that give the error and re-saving them doesn't fix it

Please go to media/kunena/topic_icons and rename the folder "system" to another name. Then empty the joomla cache and try again.

No change other than the error message relates to line 1127 instead of 1122

Hello,

If you delete the directory /media/kunena/topic_icons, it should do the trick

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Well that seems to have fixed the 500 error

BUT, I now have Warnings and Notices where the topic icons would have been.

Thanks 810 but I must be misunderstanding something because installing Kunena again puts the topic_icons folder back in place and the original error too.......

I can't reproduce the error on my localhosts.

So I think its your server settings.

Try tp create new subdomain. Start new joomla. Then import users. Import the kunena database. Install kunena.

And check if everything is working, then install the rest.

Maybe there is a conflict with a other component/plugins, you have many extensions installed.

I have exactly same problem with categories.

If you delete the directory /media/kunena/topic_icons, it should do the trick

No errors if I rename file topicicons.xml.
