Hi there,

since my upgrade to Kunena 4.0.3 it is not possible for any user to upload files into the forum.
Even very small PDF file (15KB) with Admin account is resulting in the Error code COM_KUNENA_UPLOAD_ERROR_FILE_EXCEED_LIMIT_IN_CONFIGURATION

I hope that there is any solution for this problem.

Thanks in advance and with best regards

Hi Skybax,

sorry for my late reply. Subscription mail for this forum seems not to work. At least did not get a notice about your reply.

Anyway, here are the set parameters:
- Limit Attachments 8
- Allow File Uploads Set to Everybody
- Maximum File Size Images set to 5000 and files to 10000 KB

Also in my php.ini file all parameters are set properly and it used to work with previous Kunena versions.

Best regards

Michael

on the config setting, what do you see on the description.

Example: You cannot exceed the PHP upload limit of: post_max_size: 64M & upload_max_filesize: 64M

Dear 810,

thanks for your feedback.
In fact my php.ini is set to:

post_max_size = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 64M

Inside of Kunena config, I have set:
Attachment limit: 8
Max image size: 5000 Kb
Max file size: 10000 Kb

Of course, these values are less than the php.ini max values because in Kunena settings it Kb and in phi.ini it is Mb. So 64Mb is 64000Kb

Or do I have any wrong understanding here?

Best regards

Michael

Hi there,

I have also tried to reset the Kunena settings to standard, but the problem still remains.

Any other idea would be most helpful.

Best regards

try if you can upload a file at all, on the backend. on the joomla media manager.

Maybe wrong permissions

Hi 810

thanks for trying to help.
upload from other components in Joomla is no problem.
It works successfully with Community Builder, Joomla articles and SobiPro.

My media/kunena/attachments directory premissions are 755.
I guess this should be OK.

Best regards and have a great day.

then try:

uninstall kunena:

look on your ftp:
administrator/components/com_kunena
components/com_kunena
libraries/kunena

if they are deleted.

Then install kunena again.

Maybe the old file isn't overwrited
