Kunena 6.4.7 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.7[K 6.4.7] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Matias wrote: Can you also explain what exactly happened after the installation. Sometimes Joomla forgets to install some files or PHP uses the cached versions from them, so installing again may help.

It all installed fine... no problems on the backend at all.. works great.. except it crashes the site totally

1) Make a copy of your entire site and use the copy as a test platform.
2) Trash and delete your Kunena menu (see Kunena Menu issues
3) The upgrade procedure, itself, appears to work successfully. The errors occur after you have completed the K 2.0.x -> K 3.0.0 upgrade.
4) Upgrade the various Kunena Add-ons that you have installed
5) Try with v 3.0.0 of the Blue Eagle template
6) Retain your test site and post your configuration report for the test site so that we might be able to better see the whole situation clearer.

This approach keeps your existing site unchanged and allows you to continue to operate. Obviously, if the above approach (steps 1-5) work then you might consider doing the same on your live production site. I hope this helps. :)

Did everything you suggested and still the same results... just crashes my site on the frontend...

I even tried using just the basic Joomla template that came with joomla and no go... I'm at a loss and not happy that I can't upgrade....

There has to be an answer to this...

Uncaught exception 'RuntimeException' with message 'Library path __DIR__ cannot be found.'

Well no real answers here either... so either I stick with version 2 or I try a totally different forum software... very frustrating after posting what they ask for and you can't get any answers.

Can you post your updated configuration report here, please. Perhaps the answers have been eluding us because we're not sure what you've changed (and what you haven't changed) since we last saw it?

People cannot run Joomla if they are still using PHP 4.

Login to your Joomla admin, then Kunena Configuration. In General there is an option for Kunena Debug Mode, set it to yes, and save the settings, then copy any errors that appear on your Kunena forum page (usually at the top of the page).

Also have you tried using the Blue Eagle Kunena template instead of the one you are currently using? I have seen you say you used a different Joomla template, please try to use the default Kunena one.
