First update joomla and kunena.

Then create a admin account for me, I need to see it. because we don't know that the bug exists.

J! 3.1 has defects. I would suggest updating to J! 3.3.2 as soon as possible and then try whether you can re-order categories. I may also be useful to know what Administrator site template you are using, too (e.g. Hathor or Isis or something else).

K 3.0.4 has known problems and I suggest upgrading to K 3.0.6 as soon as possible.

There seems to be a bug on the backend in the categories manager.

1) create a few categories
2) click the sort button
3) you can sort ascending/descending but
4) you CANNOT change the actual categorie sorting id's. So no matter what you do if you have like 3 categories you CANNOT move categorie 3 into category 2 spot

Yes, you could say that this is the "new way" of ordering things in J! 3.x, and this sometimes catches J! 3.x novices by surprise. The answer was posted here about a year ago. At one time—J! 3.1, I think—this feature did not work in Joomla (see J! 3.1: Ordering categories doesn't work ). So, it's not a new problem and it's not really a "bug" in Kunena, either.

Thank you for your question and your interest in Kunena. I hope that we've been able to help you.

I have merged your topic with a bigger topic that addresses these issues in the hope that it will help others who experience this "problem".

I am not a J3! newbie. This bug has come and gone and is back again.

My configuration:
Kunena: 3.0.6
Joomla: 3.3.1

My problem has been described before. You click on the column header to put the screen into "reordering mode".

Than drag and drop with the leftmost symbol in the category row. However, as soon as I start to drag, the screen goes grey and the template gets ugly. Same behavior in IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

This happened to me many months ago and I CANNOT recall what fixed it.

... and so that is it?

I would have thought you would have made some requests..

For example: A request for admin access so you could see the problem for yourself.
