I noticed that if I use the tags {tex}{/tex} of JoomLatex on topics, instead of equation appear in LaTex format, the following code appears:
<img src="latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex?x%20%3D%202%20%2B%203" title="x = 2 + 3" alt="x = 2 + 3" style="vertical-align: middle; margin-left: 1em;" />
If I use the tags in the Category Header or Description, the tags have no effect.

(1) All of the problems that people have reported relate to content plugins, developed outside Kunena, that people have installed themselves;
(2) These content plugins were developed by third-party developers for versions of Kunena before K 2.0.x. The K 2.0.x release notes clearly state the following This important point also appears in Before you post your question, read this first . People should read the release notes and the sticky topics in this forum so that they understand what may be the reason for their problems.
(3) There was an issue with the System - Kunena Forum plugin in K 2.0.0 which has been fixed in K 2.0.1.
(4) Third-party content plugins will not work unless they are
- compatible with K 2.0; and
- you have enabled the System - Kunena Forum plugin (see the image below):

Yes it would be "really nice" but, let's agree on one thing; K 2.0 is a totally, systematically, structurally and logically, different product to earlier versions of Kunena. That is why there is a big, prominent warning in the K 2.0 release notes that states:lutheriah wrote: Hi! The JoomLatex is really outdated, but a user here could use it in previous version of Kunena, enabling support for Joomla content plugins when this function was located in the Kunena Frontend configuration . It would be really nice if both (JoomLatex e Kunena) could work together because JomLatex is one of the few formatters LaTeX for Joomla, and it works well on Joomla 2.5, in addition to Latex format is essential for mathematicians forums.
There are no ifs, buts or maybes.
If JoomLatex is more important to you than a supported, progressive discussion forum then you always have the option to restore your website to the state it was in before you upgraded to K 2.0.

I am sympathetic to the needs of people who want to use LaTex in Kunena. In fact, I remember us having a discussion about some of these things nearly 3 years ago, here, in code without replacement by smilies or something else . Perhaps someone else has a contribution to make about a third-party product that may be useful for people who need to use LaTex?
