I suspect that the problem you have is because you go from Fireboard 1.0.5 to Kunena 1.5.0. Probably nobody has tested this, is if this is your case, reporting which version you are using, would be useful for the developers. The posting guidelines: docs.kunena.com/index.php/Posting_guidelines indicate some of the technical information you should provide along your description of the problem.

So can you confirm that you are trying to update from Fireboard, if you has tried to install Kunena 1.0.9 and if you has tried a clean install of Kunena 1.5.0a. With five servers availably you could hopefully try this out, thanks in advance.

Sorry if we felt that we gave you a bit of rough start here, but the case is that to many people corrupting their live site, without having proper backups, asking for support, even without telling that they try to run the alpha release!

Off-topic: I'm sorry for getting into the tail-end of this discussion. I sympathise with both sides.

The real problem, that GM, core2, and johnnydement were getting at, was the choice of category that this item was posted under the Support » Installation category (as you will see where I've highlight the "offence" that was committed in the following screenshot):

If the item had been posted under the Testing category I'm fairly sure there would have been much less "noise".

I suspect that those who offered their help assumed that it was support problem, relating to a production site (perhaps), because of the way it was categorised. I could be wrong in my assessment.

This incident also serves to increase the spotlight on what I see as a weakness in the design of this website's forum. Even though it's true that most people view items from the "Recent discussions" perspective, people still use the "Categories" view to post new items!

My point is off-topic here. I suggest, if you would like to discuss what I have written, to address your responses in the Version specific categories for Kunena website forum discussion.
