I have 2 sites with Kunena.

On 1-st site I use 3rd-party template.
All topics have correct descriptions .
But Kunena ignores meta data from menu item from forum main page. So main forum page don't have correct description.

On 2-nd site I use Crypsis.
All topics and categpries have meta data (description and keywords) from menu item (forum main page).

Same as vbulletin.

And you will release this in K 4.0.12?

I am still waiting for a response from the developers to this question.

You can do it manual.
Open file /libraries/kunena/controller/display.php

find code
Code:
$title = KunenaFactory::getConfig()->board_title .' - '. $title;

replace it with
Code:
$title = $title.' — '.KunenaFactory::getConfig()->board_title;

K4.0 is EOL and will not be updated.

Thanks, 810. That's all we wanted to hear. B)

Please close and lock this topic. You also might consider closing and locking the K 4.0 Support (reporting defects) category too as any reported defects there will not be actioned.

With no support for K 4.0 (and K 5.0 still too far away in the future to be considered stable) we will have to make do with what we've currently got. There will be a number of people who will be saddened by your announcement that K 4.0 is at EOL and it will not be maintained. There will be a lot of people who will be unable to update to K 5.0 when it is released (and after it has stabilised).

For others who are interested in helping to improve SEO in Kunena—who are interested in this topic—I have started a new topic in the User Contributions category .

After I removed meta description from menu item - topics have different meta descriptions and keywords, but not as in usual. Now meta title, meta description and meta keywords are same.

Urgently? Didn't you read msg #24 above? This will not be fixed in K 4.0.

K 5.0 is still not stable enough to use on production websites. If K 5.0 was stable, the developers would be using it here on this site.

I don't think you will get a fix from the developers "urgently", sorry, unless they release K 4.0.12 and they've said they're not doing that. So I think you're out of luck.
