Kunena 6.3.6 Released - Security release

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.6 [K 6.3.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Hi.
Newbie here. Installed and testing. New registered users are getting a page not found error after clicking "New Topic". The page loads for me - the site administrator. I suspect a permission issue but don't know how to troubleshoot and fix it.
Suggestions?

Thanks!
-- Frank

You have two incorrectly configured menu items (see image). This can lead to such errors. Links of other menus, which are linked to the forum, must be Menu Item Type = Menu Item Alias

I appreciate you taking your time to help me. I deployed your suggestions, and still, the issue persists. Any additional suggestions? I've also updated the diagnostics report.

You have created a wrong menu item again. Links of other menus, which are linked to the forum, must be System Links -> Menu Item Type = Menu Item Alias

Please be patient with me. Obviously, I don't have much of a clue about what I'm doing. I am following the links you've provided and attempting to figure things out.

Here is a the latest report:

The funny thing is I can open a New Post page if I elevate the user permissions to Administrators. Obviously, I don't want to do that. I poked around the Kunena website and verified that the default inherited values for Registered users ought to work.

Please also delete this menu item from the trash (see picture).
Have you changed anything in the permissions? Or is there an error message when a registered user wants to open a new topic?

I have not changed anything. Since the site is new and and still being tested, I'm going to remove the Kunena installation and reinstall it in a subdomain. Perhaps a fresh copy will solve this issue.

I'll circle back and update you if this does not work as intended.

Thanks for your help. You've been awesome.
