Hi.
On my norwegian site, its possible to use the norwegian chars æ, ø and å in names. Everything works perfectly, until you quote someone with æ, ø or å in their name. When you do everything is normal until the quote. After the quote all special chars are changed to æ, ø and Ã¥. It looks like the quoting changes the charset on the page.

Please see attached picture:

Anyone know why this happens, and how it may be fixed?

Both Joomla and Kunena are updated, everything is utf8, and looks ok in db.

Hi,

All theme are defined by in the language file. So i think you should check the language file of the Kunena on your site.

Regards

Hi. Thank you, but there should not be any problems with the language files. As you can see, they work fine on pages where you do not quote names with special chars. Eg first page in the same thread: www.tottenhamhotspur.no/forum/tottenham-...-holtby?limitstart=0

And, its not only the norwegian kunena language files that are affected. The forum posts and the copyright text at the bottom is also changed. For me, it looks like the quoting function changes the charset of the page, and all special chars after the change are affected..
