Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

This category is for the module developed, endorsed, maintained and supported by the Kunena project team. The topics in this category only relate to the plugin developed for K 2.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Publish multiple independent lists of recent posts?

With K2.0.4, I would like to use the KunenaLatest module to display two different lists of recent posts on my site. Last 5 threads from "Announcement" category will go in one list; last 15 posts from all non-Announcement categories will go in another list.

Does anyone know if this works?

Thanks a lot

Bruce

PS: I have seen in older versions that using Module manager to configure multiple instances of KunenaLatest results in destructive interference. Configuring one instance of the module overwrites the configuration of other instances.

G'day, Bruce, and welcome to Kunena.

Kunena Latest allows you to choose a category or categories and display the latest messages posted within them. You can create multiple instances of Kunena Latest using different settings for each instance.

Have you tried this yourself? Whether or not this works for you may be dependent on factors as yet unknown.

Thank you sozzled. I have tried this using an old version (K 1.6.2 on J 1.5.23) and it did not work. For a variety of reasons I have avoided upgrading. I can create a new sandbox on my server with K2.0.4 and then answer your question.

Both K 1.6.2 and J! 1.5.23 are unsupported. We do not answer questions about unsupported versions of Kunena on this forum. As far as J! 1.5.23 is concerned, who knows?

The short answer to your original question - "Does it work?" - is yes.
