Great work! The only thing i see is that v1.08 templates are not working with 1.5.0a. There comes a message "Direct access to this location is not allowed". Are there many changes to do to let work v1.0.8 templates with 1.5.0a or would it be simple by changing a few php lines?

Hi Team,
great job - just updated from 1.0.8 to 1.0.9
First quick look - all running fine - no bug visible on first view.
Job done inbetween a minute.

Go on like this.

"Thank you very manny!" (or like you say nowadays: "Thank you very much for your great work!")

Andreas

I see there's no patch for upgrading from 1.0.8 to 1.0.9 - I'm hoping to retain my current template when I upgrade (as I've modified it). Is there any reason why default_ex from 1.0.8 won't still work?

Many thanks.

(also this thread seems to be emerging as a mixture of comments on 1.0.9 and 1.0.5a; maybe it could be split to keep the two discussions separate?)

Yes. There is something wrong with "Class 'smile'" and Category view. Recent Discussions works, but when you click Categories it seems to lost all formating and with Default-ex template there is following error:
Code:
Fatal error: Class 'smile' not found in ... template/default_ex/listcat.php on line 264

EDIT: My message is for Kunena 1.09

It would be good idea to open new separate threads to both 1.09 and 1.50

1.0.x branch only keeps database, rest of the files are deleted during unistall, and recopied during install. So If you want to keep something, I suggest you to backup first...

In fact I suggest you to backup first even if you don't want to keep nothing ;)

2 separated threads will be done, this is not a bug-typo report thread, this thread is an ANNOUNCEMENT...

So no DB changes, in which case the upgrade could be performed by overwriting the files?

no, I mean that when you uninstall K!, your database isn't deleted, and when next version install is done, it gets updated.

That means you don't lose messages, users, configuration,... but the phisical files in your ISP are completely replaced.

If you want to keep your template, just download it via ftp, and reupload once the new version is installed...

Can I make a suggestion? How about creating version-specific categories?

It's difficult and confusing, when we read reports about errors, which version of Kunena they relate to. Now that there are at least three versions of Kunena in general use (not counting Fireboard!) it would be a lot easier if user questions that are specific to one particular version (or problems that occur when migrating from one version to another) were placed in a category allocated for the purpose. Obviously, questions/problems/contributions that are of general interest, or that affect all versions of Kunena, wouldn't need to be categorised this way.

Hello and congratulations to all
I have a small request to do ...

You can get a list of changed files for each release?

I changed very few files, but since the changelog I can not ever tell if I am saved or not the changed files ...

Please :D thanks :)
