Kunena 6.4.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.8 [K 6.4.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

It is Jomsocial that is being used on Kunena.com, in my opinion a really nice component

Kunena.com use the community system nammed Jomsocial which works on Joomla 1.5.7 and above, but this system is not free and not on GPL, so you can't find the Jomsocial component on the JED (Joomla Extension Directory).

Jomsocial provides PM system which is used on Kunena.com, Facebook connect, Groups and the most important thing is that Jomsocial can be integrated into Kunena.

We get asked the same questions so many times:

What "community component" is used here at www.kunena.com : JomSocial. JomSocial is not free; you have to pay money for it.

What site template is used here at www.kunena.com : RocketTheme Versatility 4. This is also not free; you have to pay money for it.

What PM system is used here at www.kunena.com : JomSocial. JomSocial is not free; you have to pay money for it.

I have looked through as many discussions that we've received over the past year and collected them into this one discussion topic - which I will sticky - in the hope that new users will read what has been written before they ask the same questions again. B)
