I followed this internal discussion within the Kunena organisation.
As an OP I wonder when and how I will have access to the full translation.
Can I trust that the improved language files will be present in the next Kunena 6 update?
I really want to avoid language overrides at general Joomla level.

I updated my site with the new dutch language files version 4.4.2.
The search window still contains a mixture of english and dutch words.

Joomla language files are different from Kunena language filesv and do not change Kunena text. So a joomla update doesn't solve your problem.

Maybe you can upload a screenshot what you see, so you can get a better advise where and how to adjust.

Kunena Dutch language is full translated (thanks to HanKortekaas).
Your translation is not yet included in the Kunena language pack on  our download page. According to the date, you were finished with the translation on 22 December. Between 22 December and today, there was no new Kunena version and therefore no new language pack, as both are always released at the same time.

Just installed Kunena 4.2.3 and new language pack and nothing has changed. At least not for Dutch language (only one i've tested).

You are right, the file nl-NL.com_kunena.views.ini is corrupted. This probably happened during the transfer from Transifex to Github. We had a similar problem before.
I have uploaded the repaired file as a zip. Unzip the file and replace the corrupt file with this ini file.
    Path: /language/nl-NL/nl-NL.com_kunena.views.ini
