Question Kunena & CB1.2 tabs / new field problem

One other thing I forgot about until just now - I also got my ISP to upgrade my server from PHP4.x.x to PHP5.1.6. I don't know if this had anything to do with my solution, but it is possible!

Don't know anything about servers and PHP but mine told me mine is supported by PHP5 already. So I guess it has nothing to do with my solution :lol:

Hi, I seem to have the same installed components/mod/plugins etc as described earlier. Kunena installed fine, user CB profiles seems to be ok also, fireboard tables have been transfered into Kunena fine.
Only thing i dont seem to get to work is for the forum to show within groupjive. Which files of Kunena do i need to edit to make it work?

Got it figured out and seems to work fine for now

Just in case somebody else is looking for the same thing. Here is what i did. NO guarantee it will work for you too

1. back up files and DB
2. uninstall fireboard
3. install newest Kunena version
4. disable old GJ Fireboard plug in in CB -> plugins
5. install GJforum - the extended forum plugin available here www.groupjive.org/index.php?option=com_d...iew&gid=24&Itemid=59
6. enable plugin and enter correct category for kunena forum.

Hope this helps somebody some time!

I may have identified a very simple solution to this problem, or at least it worked for me.

• In The CB Plugins section, Unpublish the Fireboard Forum Plugin
• If it's installed, uninstall the Kunena Forum Plugin
• Install the Kunena Forum Plugin
• Rename the file /publichtml/.../components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbsimpleboard/cb.simpleboard.php

That worked for me and I could add new fields again.

I tried this out but it doesn't completly work.

Explaination : I'd like to have forum activity with updated plugin in CB profiles AND have Kunena profiles linked to CB (not using K profiles).

Point is, with original forum integration plugin, forum activity is not as I'd like it to be (buttons not working, sliders not right ones).
-> I can fix it with the new forum activity plugin, unplishing and renaming old one.

However, once that's done, Kunena cannot link profiles to CB...

Seems that both wishes aren't compatible...

Any idea how to solve that ?
I googled this issue but this thread seems to be the most advanced one.
