Kunena 7.0.10 & Kunena 6.4.15 – Security Updates Released and K7.1 in RC1

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.10 [K 7.0.10] as security release which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x/6.2.x and 6.4.15 [K 6.4.15]. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Avatar Size was created by Bob Britt
I know, I just know when I post this someone will chastise me for not looking for the answer but I have looked and can not find it.

Updated to K 1.5.11 last night. Running Joomla 1.5.17 stable, CB 1.2.2 PhP is 5.2.10

The avatars are smaller than they were. I'm measuring roughly 80X80. I know the CB Avatars are larger than this. I have notes about a issue I use to have with updates that would reset the avatar size but it would appear you have fixed this issue. It involved editing the CSS sheet Max-width:

What am I missing?

If this is something stupid on my part I'll take the beating but please point me where I need to go.

G'day, Bob, and welcome to Kunena.

I'm not going to beat you up! :D But I am going to offer you a few helpful hints that may solve your problem for you.

Firstly, are you using CB images for your avatar images (i.e. is this the way you set up your Kunena configuration settings)? Maybe this is a CB matter and not a Kunena matter?

Secondly, when you say that your images are "roughly" 80x80 have you any exact measurement? I always suggest that, when we're dealing with template and design issues, that users spend a few moments to examine Before you ask for help with template issues ... because it can save you and us a lot of time.

Thank you for posting information about what versions of Joomla components that you are using. I know you originally posted your message in the Support category, but I have difficulty reconciling your problem to a genuine defect in Kunena; I could be mistaken in that belief and I'm happy if someone can prove me wrong. Before posting messages in the Support category, it pays to read K 1.5.x Support: Please read this first. And, again I repeat, I'm not trying to beat you up! ;)

So, let's look at the problem. Are you using the unmodified Kunena default_ex template on your website, because it's the template that defines most of these things. But, as I intimated earlier, maybe there's something peculiar happening with the image thumbnail generation? What are all values in your avatar settings ?

For some reason I can't answer in the way I was trying.

I will look over your suggestions and see what I can find.

I have had this problem in the past and I had to edit the max_width entry. I now have it up to 300px but still not fixing the problem.

I am using the default_ex template.

I have attached an image of the avatar settings.

your K 1.5.x Support: Please read this first. link is coming up 404 but I can find the article

Thanks for your help, hope this leads to clearing this up. image missing http://www.kunena.com/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/avatarsetting.jpg

Oh yeah, the 80X80

the avatars are retaining the aspect so some are shorter than 80, some are longer, some taller..it's as thought they are all scaled down.

And if you'd like to see, tanksandthings.com is the site. you'll find the forum on one of the tabs in the middle.

No joy "Sozzled", I've gone over these settings and nothing seems to effect the size of the avatars. I wish I had a more specific question for you other than, HELP!

Hi,

kunena show a thumb image of avatar from community builder. Check in the configuration of CB for avatar size.
