Sorry about the lack of updates. We have just been too busy on Joomla 1.6 and Kunena 2.0 related tasks.

I know several of you are waiting for an update, but we have not had a chance to make any significant progress on this. I realize this is frustrating, but nobody on the volunteer dev team had a chance to step up to this.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Can someone tell me what the "hash" field is for in the kunena_attachments table? How is it generated, and what is its purpose?

I'm working on converting attachments myself.

Then you don't need a migrator at all. Just go through the phpBB -> Fireboard transfer as outlined here . It will transfer all your phpBB users into Joomla (and therefore Kunena). Then you can delete Fireboard and its database tables.

I don't know about Joomla 1.6. I have no intention of using that anytime soon, it's full of bugs and it won't even be supported for very long. Joomla 1.5 is very stable and will be supported for a long time (at least 2 more years).

It works fine for Kunena. Although I could not upgrade from Fireboard to Kunena 1.6.3. I had to do:

Fireboard -> Kunena 1.6.2 -> Kunena 1.6.3

There's a bug in the Kunena 1.6.3 installation routine that prevents importing Fireboard content.

By the way, this method transfers all users AND posts. It just doesn't transfer any attachments.
