This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.
Important phpBB Migrator: Looking for phpBB3 users that want to convert their data to Kunena 1.6
I know several of you are waiting for an update, but we have not had a chance to make any significant progress on this. I realize this is frustrating, but nobody on the volunteer dev team had a chance to step up to this.
We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory .

Then you don't need a migrator at all. Just go through the phpBB -> Fireboard transfer as outlined here . It will transfer all your phpBB users into Joomla (and therefore Kunena). Then you can delete Fireboard and its database tables.majestik wrote: Im a new Poker Tour and in need of serious fast transfer of my members from phpbb3 to kunena 1.6.3 Please help me out as all these members are critical to our online and live tour and manually enetering ll users is alot of work. we have 1k members and all i want is the usernames transffered. I don't know about Joomla 1.6. I have no intention of using that anytime soon, it's full of bugs and it won't even be supported for very long. Joomla 1.5 is very stable and will be supported for a long time (at least 2 more years).majestik wrote: one last question. will this work with kunena 1.6.3 and joomla 1.6. ty fo rthe helpful information.
It works fine for Kunena. Although I could not upgrade from Fireboard to Kunena 1.6.3. I had to do:
Fireboard -> Kunena 1.6.2 -> Kunena 1.6.3
There's a bug in the Kunena 1.6.3 installation routine that prevents importing Fireboard content.
By the way, this method transfers all users AND posts. It just doesn't transfer any attachments.
