Hello everyone,
I am currently using the Default Blue Eagle Template and I would like to add an image behind my Kunena Menu, much like the image posted below.

Could anyone please direct me into getting this done? I just want a background, no effects.

Thank you so kindly,
Voice4Vision

I tried using an image, however I could not get it to load. Not sure if I added it to the proper css.

Thank you sozzled for your response

I am currently facing the same kind of prooblem. Same thing. It wont load. It keeps the default color.

In my Kheader div I wrote :
#Kunena .kheader {
background-image: url("../images/forumkheaderbackground.png") repeat-x scroll center top #2C5687!important;

}

Try instead:
#Kunena #ktop {
background-image: url("../images/forumkheaderbackground.png") repeat-x scroll center top #2C5687;
}

No it did not work. :s

But I notice that a couple of things that I use in my template css as override, is not loading.
I have read many topics and the article about Kunena can mess up the template.

Sozzled on a personal note: cool that you are still around here. what would Kunena and ALL these users here be without you!

Usually it's the other way around. Joomla site templates are more likely to mess up Kunena! :lol:

Could we see your site? Maybe someone can tell you what you need to do? It's difficult answering questions like these when we're "flying blind". ;)

Yes sure it's www.sgadget.be
Yes if you are flying blind you got no clue. It's an Artisteer template
Everything from Kunena is currently below in my template.css
Something work like the border radius and so on but as for giving the kheader a background. Nope, no luck on that really. It stays the same as the Blue Eagle's one. Of course I can enter a color in the template manager of Blue Eagle but not adding a background image. So css is the only way to go.
Also giving the correct links wont do it. Strange right?
#Kunena div.kblock div.kbody {
    border-width: 9px;
  border-color: #C4CBD4;
}
#Kunena td.kcol-mid {
    border-left: 0px;
}
#Kunena tr.krow1 td {
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
}
#Kunena tr.krow2 td {
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
}
#Kunena div.kthead-title a {
    color: #45515B;
  text-decoration: none;
}
#Kunena div.kthead-title a:hover{
    color: #45515B;
    text-decoration: underline;
}
#Kunena div.kthead-title a:visited{
    color: #45515B;
    text-decoration: none;
}
#Kunena div.kthead-desc {
    color: #777777;
    font-size: 12px;
}
#Kunena span.kcat-topics-number, #Kunena span.kcat-replies-number {
    font-size: 12px;
	color: #000000;
}
#Kunena span.kcat-topics, #Kunena span.kcat-replies {
    color: #000000;
	font-size: 10px;
    text-align: center;
}
#Kunena .kheader  {
    -moz-border-top-left-radius: 4px;
	-moz-border-top-right-radius: 4px;
	border-top-left-radius: 4px;
	border-top-right-radius: 4px;
	font-size: 16px;

}
#Kunena #ktop {
background-image: url("../images/forumkheaderbackground.png") repeat-x scroll center top #2C5687;
}
#Kunena div.ktitle-desc {
   font-size: 12px;
}

You don't have a Kunena menu! :huh:

Maybe you should restore it first? See How do I restore my Kunena menu?

Yes I got a Kunena menu but I was trying something out before I went to bed. Anyhow I figured maybe even a better solution. If you hover over the Forum button, you'll see what I did there.

But still it does not explain why certain things won't do. Like the headers of the forums. I want to give it a color but it doesn't load the css. Shall I make a new topic for this since this is about the Forum Headers and not about the Kunena Menu?

Edit : I made some progress but not a lot to be honest. Did another search and wind up in a Germand thread. Good thing I watched Power Rangers in the old days on a German channel. This is how I learned German. Like one of them suggested I should try what I wrote below. However I managed to change the background color through css but an image : no way. ... Frustrating :angry: :angry: :angry:

This works :
#Kunena div.kblock > div.kheader, #Kunena .kblock div.kheader {
background-color: #2C5687!important;
}

This does not work :
#Kunena div.kblock > div.kheader, #Kunena .kblock div.kheader {
background-image: url("https://www.sgadget.be/templates/scifi_community/images/forumkheaderbackground.png") repeat-x scroll center top #2C5687;
}
