I removed your message from the Support category, as explained in the category description for the Support category, which reads (with the relevant part highlighted for your benefit):

This category is for Kunena version 1.6 issues only. For a faster response, please make sure you include your K 1.6 configuration settings report in your posts. We do NOT support test versions. Before asking for support, please read the guides posted as sticky topics in this category.

Please do not use this category to ask for help if K 1.6 does not work for you in the same way as it works here at this website. Please do not use this category to request a change to the standard behaviour of Kunena.

While Joomla 1.6 is still in beta, there is no support for J! 1.6-related issues.

The link behaviour for the Kunena sections is a standard behaviour of Kunena.

It's possible to change this standard behaviour of Kunena. You will have to modify the source code to do this. As soon as you modify the standard behaviour of Kunena you are effectively on your own and any subsequent problems that you may encounter will be entirely your responsibility to fix.

I accept that this feature of Kunena is not something that you like. I happen to think its a good feature. Therefore we differ in our opinions.

I would help you if I knew which file contained the source code in Kunena but, unfortunately, I don't have that information for you. Perhaps someone else, who may have encountered this situation and solved it, may be able to help you.

Im running Joomla 1.5, not 1.6 I will gladly post my configuration if it can help us here.

Also, I do agree with you that the forum Sections being linked so they display the categories is better than not linked, however I am simply aiming for consistency in the forums I am developing. When I delete a section that was created in the previous version on Kunena and re-create it in attempts to make it so it is linked, it maintains it's unlinked trait. I am at a loss.

I was running Kunena 1.6 RC2 (I believe) and all sections created were unlinked. I upgraded recently to 1.6 stable and now new sections I create are linked. just looking for consistency. And Im confused why this is happening. Any insight would be helpful.

K 1.6 RC2 was a pre-release. Many things changed between K 1.6 RC2 -> K 1.6 RC3 -> K 1.6.0 stable. Many things have changed since K 1.6.0 was released. I don't remember K 1.6 RC2 not having linked section names. Section names were linked in K 1.5 (I still have a few K 1.5 sites for testing purposes). There is a long tradition of linking section names in Kunena and I can only assume that the behaviour you claim that occurred with K 1.6 RC2 was an exception. That's the only insight I can offer in relation to this matter.

The fact is, for better or worse, K 1.6.0 has linked sections. :)

I believe it to be for the better. I will delete an unlinked section and let it sit over night and let everything clear out and try again tomorrow. If I cant get it resolved tomorrow I will start a new topic with my specs and config in the support section.

Thanks again for the help.
