Huh? How do you manage to view it like this while the template is the one we use for the site?? Thats weird? When I look now, its the template that should generate the problems, not the milkyway...?

(and I'm very happy with the time and effort you are taking to help, be sure of that!! I would really like to pinpoint my problem so I can use K1.6!!!)

It's a "trick". You can use any installed template to view a page using that template. What you do is add to the URL the following parameter:

&template=rhuk_milkyway

Very very strange...!! If I change the template in the administrator module, the layout is incorrect. If I do the trick you describe, the layout is ok... (except the tiny font in the menu bar).
I'm completely lost now...

I wouldn't be too concerned about the font size at this time; that's a minor problem in comparison with the other problems you were having. What we have established is already a major milestone, as to the cause of all your problems. As I have said (I think) on at least two previous occasions before:

All of your problems (including the menu font sizes) are caused by your Joomla site template. There is a solution but it requires work on your Joomla site template. Your Joomla site template CSS has some very prescriptive font-size and line-height settings; these need to be changed. Firebug for Firefox is a way to analyse what's happening. These things can probably be quickly fixed with a different site template or, if you can't do them yourself, engage someone to do them for you.

So, change your site to something that works. The template that you've been using does not work.

I agree with you; lets be sure about that. But the point is: we made the template in artisteer, which seemed to work OK with the K1.5 forum. Being no CSS experts, its hard to determine where to start; I don't recall making weird choices in artisteer that could influence the layout so drastic..

**EDIT**
I'm sure it has something to do with a standard Artisteer function. I just made another template, and the only things I did were:
- Layout: only header, two columns
- background
- header pic

Thats all. The template is called loopgroep20 and I tested it the way you said (with &template=loopgroep20). It scr*ws the layout up even more. So I think we have to search somewhere for an option to make an complete new template.... :(
Anyway, thanks for your help so far.

**EDIT 2**
I installed the Dutch translation as you suggested. After that, I looked at the site again, with &template=rhuk_milkyway. Here's the result..:

I think I've found out why your forum pages are different to everyone else's. You've modified your Kunena template, haven't you? You've ripped out the CSS parts that handle the menu tabs (you're missing a <SPAN> rule). So, how about you go back and use the original Blue Eagle CSS template and I don't have to spend another hour scratching my head trying to figure out what's wrong with your website. Thank you.
