Hi All,

I am preparing the web site for an Amateur Astronomy Group ( www.aavbae.net/aavbae ).

We are using Joomla 2.5 as the content manager and have prepared an open forum with the Kunena extension (version 1.7.2).

www.aavbae.net/aavbae/index.php/foro

It works nicely when using Firefox as the browser, but when using Internet Explorer the configuration does not work:
- the texts and images do not fit into the width reserved for it
- the width reserved for some columns in the posts list is not enough
- and several other configuration mismatches

Can you figure out were could be the problem?

Thanks a lot
gzk

G'day, gzk, and welcome to Kunena.

Please read My Joomla site template makes a mess of Kunena . Have you tried something like the Beez20 template to see if you still have these issues with IE? What do the people who designed your Joomla site template have to say about using their product with IE?

It looks to me like your Joomla site template is not optimised to work with Internet Explorer.

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about because I can't see what you're seeing on your website because I don't know anything about your website.

Perhaps you should read My Joomla site template makes a mess of Kunena because, in all probability, the problems you're having are caused by your Joomla site template.

G'day, Darth Granic, and welcome to Kunena.

I want to you read, very carefully, my response to similar questions like these posted on our forum in My Joomla site template is making a mess of Kunena .

The information that will help you to resolve your problem is contained in a Wiki article entitled (not surprisingly) My Joomla site template is making a mess of Kunena .

If you search the forum for "My Joomla site template is making a mess of Kunena" you will find that yours is not an isolated case. Yours is a case of choosing your site template first and then installing Kunena afterwards and trying to make ends meet. In other words, this is the classic problem facing all website developers: Which comes first? The template or the forum?
