dirkovision wrote: in the latest 1.6.4 release the icon.php file can be found in the:

../components/com_kunena/template/default

directory..

It's called icons.php, and it's located the same place in 1.7.0 B)

Indeed it is very easy to add more file names to the array and to provide more icons to the icons library.
I assume this is the reason why no option has been implemented to manipulate those icons in the Administration, like it is for the icons to be used with a forum post...

I can live with this :)

Hi,

How can I add more topic icons to the editor?

I would like to add a "Check mark" or "OK stamp" for solved / closed / replied topics.

No offence but I DID make a search before asking. It returned 430 replies, unrelated, so I did not find what I wanted. Going through them again, only a couple of them where about Topic icons, first one on page 10?

But I got it now:

Add icons to /components/com_kunena/template/default/images/icons/

edit-add the filenames to /components/com_kunena/template/default/icons.php

Thanks

Hi there, I will take the chance to extend the topic. I would like to add an upload button in the 'Topic Icon' list at the end. Would this be possible and how to do it. I assume, I can take the code (where is it located?) of the 'Add File' at the end of the message area and copy it in the right place (where?). I also assume there are upload restrictions regarding size (32x32 pixel). How can this be solved, besides a text describing to upload a reduced size picture already. maybe some automatically resize script? Thanks for your help.

Is your question about customising topic icons (when people compose a message) or is your question about customising category icons. These are two different questions. It would help to know what you mean.

You are correct. Those topic icons are not displayed on the main Index page (for example, www.kunena.org/forum/index ). The main Index is a list of categories. However, if you look at a category index page (for example, see www.kunena.org/forum/159-K-17-Common-Questions ), you will see these topic icons. This is because the category index is a list of topics.

Does this help?
