4 days of this :(

I believe it was the way I manually migrated the files for the site then manually ran the database about 5 months ago it ran fine until I started upgrading things what a mess!

OK... I've just started to have the same problem.

It started happening after I upgraded JEvents from 2.01 to 2.1. Now, whenever I try to login as Super User in the front end I get this:

Fatal error: Interface 'iKunena' not found in /home/msec**/public_html/mywebsite.com/administrator/components/com_kunena/libraries/api.php on line 17

It does log me in, but I lose my Kunena menu and Facebook modules (custom HTML).

Line 17 says:
Code:
define ( 'KUNENA_NAME', substr ( KUNENA_COMPONENT_NAME, 4 ) );

The api.php only has 262 lines (apparently meant to have 489, according to a previous post under this topic).

I hope you can shed some light on this matter.

Best regards,

Ess

Replied by essiele on topic FATAL ERROR WARNING!
I've recently started to get this error message when I login to the front end of my website with my super user credentials:

Fatal error: Interface 'iKunena' not found in /home/msec**/public_html/m-y-w-e-b-s-i-t-e.com/administrator/components/com_kunena/libraries/api.php on line 17

It does log me in, but I lose my user menu, one of the main menu items and Facebook modules (custom HTML). Yet, when I log in as a normal registered user, there is no problem.

Please help me, as I cannot properly perform any tests as super user on the front end. I had posted this a few days ago under bellablue's entry, as she was having the same problem... but there's been no reply.

I would really appreciate some assistance.

Best regards,

Ess

Ok... so just to furnish y'all with some more info that may help to solve this mystery.

Attached are three screen grabs:
  1. guest view
  2. registered view
  3. super user view

No problems with the guest view or the view for a registered user. But when I login with my super user details, what you see in the 3rd image is what I get... and that's after I get the 'fatal error message.

It might also be worth pointing out that when a user logs in, s/he is directed to his/her profile page, whose url is

m-y-w-e-b-s-i-t-e.com/component/comprofiler/?id=42

When I login to the front end with my super user details, it's the same url in the address bar when the 'fatal error' message comes up.

Somebody... anybody! Please help!

Ok... more information.

My colleague also has a superuser account and he doesn't have that problem... whatsoever!

So it's definitely my account.
