sh404sef is disabled.

We use Joomla and Kunena for SEF. sh404sef is just for security purpose.

It's possible that this strange behaviour could be caused by sh404SEF - there are a lot of strange behaviours with Kunena that are caused by sh404SEF - and it may be worthwhile turning off sh404SEF as far as Kunena is concerned to eliminate this as a factor. Certainly we may know more when we find out the information I asked for in msg #8. (I'm still guessing that it might have something to do with UTF-8.)

Thanks for you help so far. If anyone else has encountered this problem and can help us pinpoint the cause, we would be very grateful.

Hi sozzled,
but we never had sh404SEF enabled. Some months ago we tried sh404SEF for SEF but we didn't like it, so we kept it just for its security functions.

But as I said in my previous post, for SEF, we just use Joomla SEO setting at Global Configuration, and Kunena SEO settings. Just that. sh404SEF was not activated when you wrote msg #12.

I'll wait my server administrator reply.
