After setting
Code:
var $offset = '0'
did you do a hard refresh on your browser (CTRL-F5) and clear your cache in Joomla?

See Installation problems - Joomla 1.5.23 & Kunena 1.6

See HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

I spent about half-an-hour, unsuccesfully, using Google to try to find other examples reported on the internet of this particular error. I probably not been very helpful to this topic.

I have added this line:
Code:
$offset=0;

to file 'kunena.timeformat.class.php' in line 108 before the if-statement.
And now it works :)
