james2581 I had the same problem as you - 100% same situation and symptoms. I figured that pools start to work when you don't set the ending date. Check this out - hope it will work's for you as worked for me.

xillibit maybe this is something for the Kunena core team to check in?

I had this problem and it was fixed by a patch from Xilibit. It was posted in another thread, can't find it now though.

wilmy - I didn't tried with a patch you're talking about.

I upgraded Joomla! from 1.6.4 to 1.6.5, and Kunena from 1.6.4 to 1.6.5 and yes it did help. All works now. :)

I noticed that in:
components\com_kunena\template\default\plugin\poll\pollbox.php

in K 1.6.4, there was:
Code:
<?php } elseif (JFactory::getDate()->toUnix() <= $dataspollresult[0]->polltimetolive || $dataspollresult[0]->polltimetolive == "0000-00-00 00:00:00") { ?>

and in K. 1.6.5, there is:
Code:
<?php } elseif (JFactory::getDate()->toMySQL() <= $dataspollresult[0]->polltimetolive || $dataspollresult[0]->polltimetolive == "0000-00-00 00:00:00") { ?>

MySQL instead of Unix,
does it matter? Was it it? :)
