I checked that, and there is no PDF icon in any topic, on any page of my forums. I have asked other members to check for the PDF icon as well in case it was something at my end, but they can't see it either, and it is definitely enabled in K! admin.

Added 2 screenshots, both from different website, one is a fresh install, with nothing but Joomla 1.7 and Kunena 1.6.5.

Dear all,

There was an issue with pdf generation in Kunena 1.6. As opposed to Kunena 1.5, pdf printout of Kunena forum threads in Kunena 1.6 was not possible, since the Kunena team understandably had not enough manpower to deal with this (minor) task at the time (see the respective forum discussion here).

However, I would like to know: Has pdf generation been re-implemented in the current 1.7.0 version?
I am asking because, if so, I would update one of my forums to 1.7.0, since users there definitely are asking for such a possibility. If Kunena 1.7.0 does not offer this feature, I would leave my installation as it is, since it runs smoothly, and, well, never change a running system. :-)

Thank you for your help,

Kind regards ,

Christian Geiselmann

Hello,

Before Kunena used libraries in Joomla! 1.5 to generate pdf, but since Joomla! 1.6 the libraries has been removed.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hello Kunena Team,

first, thank you for that great Software.

I use Joomla 2.5 with Kunena 1.7.2

I spend hours, to find out WHY there is no PDF Button in the Frontpage although there is the right setting PDF -> "Yes" in the backend.

Now I know, that Joomla is not supporting PDF anymore. Since >=1.6
I need that fine User Account Control from Joomla 2.5 :)
But also the PDF Function is important for me.

QUESTION:
Is there any possibilty, to make a Work-Around. I tried phoca PDF, but that gives me only a button for the articles.

thank you,
for any idea,

Flo

Please can you tell me why the pdf cration icon doesn't work? There is no icon to make pdf from tipoc. Or a print icon to print posts. In the admin panel there is a setting that if it set to "YES" there is the pdf creation function active. But we don't see it. Thanks.
