I tried with Joomla! MilkyWay template on Kunena forum, but it's still too slow (11,5 sec on index page).
I made a simple template with no js at all and I put it on whole site like default template, bit it's still too slow (11,61 sec!!!)
It's slow just like with normal Joomla template I use.
I don't know what to do.

Here is my configuration report:

sozzled wrote: I assume that the "Barcode menu" you mention we are discussing the BBcode toolbar. This is not a Kunena problem. This is not a Joomla problem, either. This is a problem because you have a Joomla extension that is not compatible with Mootools 1.2.4 . That is what this topic is all about.

This problem is not going to disappear with future versions of Kunena. Please read the topic Mootools 1.2.4 that explains what the problem is about and read this discussion topic to see how you can fix the problem.

Hey Sozzled... do you see anything in my config settings that could contribute to this problem. Here's what I did: Joined Rocket Theme, grabbed Affinity, installed it, did some tweaking and installed Rokstories, Rokbox and Roknavmenu, changed the Kunena theme..... and now the bbcode toolbar doesn't show up. Also, you can't click on the smiley's and have them insert into the text area. I read the link you gave to the Mootools info and I disabled lots of mods and plugins trying to trouble shoot, but nothing has worked. Before Affinity, Kunena worked like a champ. And I'm not getting any support from Rocket Theme so far. Just thought perhaps you might have some suggestions??

Thanks buddy!

Rather than keep this decaying subject alive any further, I suggest that you read msg #1 of If you are having problems with K 1.6, please read this first and I think I should put this topic out of its (and everyone else's) misery.

Config report at bottom. SW versions in my signature:

It appears Kunena is incompatible with Rockettheme Tachyon for JomSocial in IE7? The rollovers and the login link do not work on the Forum page. Is there a solution that you are aware of?

I visited your website and spent about 10 minutes looking at it. I could not see anything unusual about your site. What are these "rollovers" that do not work? Can you please clarify the specific problem that you are having?

The login link seems to work - an action occurs when you click the login button (even though I do not have an account on this site). Perhaps you can clarify the specific problem that you are having with the login function.

Unfortunately I cannot see the specific IE7 problem (I used IE8 in compatibility mode - I do not have IE7 installed on any computer). Can you show us, with a picture, one example of what rollover is misbehaving and then we might be able to help you better.

G'day, NewYorkMafia, welcome to Kunena and thanks for the tip. So, we're agreed that this is not specifically a IE7 matter, is that right?

The issue about the lost "active tab" colour is a Joomla issue. This issue is, in part, addressed by reading Customised menus . When people make their own menus they sometimes get wrong the "entrypage" link. It's a little fiddly; it's not, strictly-speaking, a Kunena problem. The problem can also be made to "go away" if you remove all existing forum menus, start again and use the Create Menu facility on the Kunena control panel (sometimes called the trash-burn-build technique). I haven't explained it well here. Please see Customised menus where this is explained better.

What I would like to know more about is this:

The login button in the Gantry Controls box was not working, however, it is now and I cannot tell you why - but I am happy it is. Anyway, I will now try your suggestion for the lost rollovers/active tabs of letting the utility create the forum menu for me and get back to tell you if it works....

Thank you for the support
