Merged Help/information/tutorial/guide for my forum users
The answer to your question depends on what you want to know and who wants the information. If the information is for you, we have a Wiki .
If you have never used a web-based discussion forum before, then you might find this article useful: A basic forum help page for beginners . The best way to learn how to use a web-based discussion forum, like Kunena, is to use it.

At the bottom of the 'Beginners section' under Documentation is a link to 'Documentation Category' but this is not written yet. AM I better off looking at earlier versions of Kunena documentation to find what I am looking for?
Thanks
Colin

What might be a good way to deal with this question, once and for all, is for you and me to take this matter off-line and for you to fire dozens of questions at me and then we can summarise that question-and-answer session either as a video or as a Wiki article, how would that appeal to you? I'll send you a PM with some information that could get this ball rolling and you can take it from there.

Trying to put a forum on my site, intermediate Joomla user, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to configure Kunena.
If anyone knows of a step-by-step tutorial I would be really, really grateful as it looks like a excellent extension, however I am having problems on how to implement it on the site.

The basic step-by-step tutorial, to install Kunena, is provided in the K 1.6 and K 1.7 Installation and Upgrade . "Out-of-the-box", on a brand-new Joomla website, you don't need to do anything as far as changing configuration settings are concerned. With a little bit of practice you will soon discover that you may only need to change three or four settings in your configuration.
There is also a chapter on Kunena in the book Using Joomla by Ron Severdia & Kenneth Crowder (with foreword by Louis Landry), O'Reilly, 2010.

I'd like to include a brief description of how our users can use the forum. How to post etc.
Also, ideally I'd like to find some sample text of the rules. E.g. don't post anything offensive, we reserve the right to delete some posts, etc.
I've spent some time searching for this but all i can find is descriptions of how to set up and manage the forums.
Many thanks

There are millions of sites around the internet that have a "forum rules" page. I suggest that you use Google and you should have no trouble finding something that will give you a few good ideas what to write for your site.
For a small fee, I would be happy to write some rules for your forum, if that is something you would like.
