It's a known problem in Joomla 1.0 installation. It corrupts files..

Seems that installation process have some mistakes in folder rights:

Upgrading "com_kunena" (Version: 1.0.5RC2 / Version Date: 2008-10-27 / Install Date: 2009-01-10 / Build: 817 / Version Name: Redwood)
.... dozens of functions installed succesfully, but still 25 errors:

Warning: copy(......../media/kunena/attachments/legacy/avatars/index.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in ......./administrator/components/com_kunena/install/kunena.install.php on line 306
# Error: File '......../administrator/components/com_kunena/kunena.files.distribution/avatars/index.php' could not be copied!\n

All those errors are permission error in folder ../administrator/components !!!
Note that those folders not exist earlier installation process !
Parent folder "components" has 755 rights.

but still:>>>>

I N S T A L L : Successful
php version: 5.2.6-2ubuntu4.1 Required >= 4.3.0
mysql version: 5.0.67-0ubuntu6 Required >= 5.0.0 <<<<<<<<<<

I hope and wish that you correct that .;)

:woohoo: I have managed the upgrade successfully, really impressed, and glad I got rid of the black background. However, there are a couple of points if somebody could help.

Firstly, if you follow the link below, you will see that the rules seem to have disappeared and in their place is content from another page, I can't understand why this has happened.

Secondly, I have got SH404SEF installed, however, it has stopped working on the forum now, how do I implement it again?

In fact, the same is happening on the help tab. It might be easier if I just removed the two tabs, I can't remember how to do it

I have noticed a couple of slight flaws that could do with sorting out. I think the flaw is in the installation because I've noticed it on this forum. On some of the forums, the description is almost touching the heading of the forum. I would imagine it something in the CSS that is causing it, I'm not confident enough to mess around with it. I wonder what your thoughts are on this?

Here is a link to my site. If you look at the description underneath "introduce yourself" you will see what I'm talking about. I suppose I'm being a little bit pedantic, however, from a personal point of view, it does look a little bit messy.

By the way, I had a scout through sh404sef which is installed on the site but I couldn't see anything obvious that I needed to change. I'm not really familiar with the programs I wasn't about to start clicking buttons just in case it messed the whole forum up. I would like to get it back to how it was because anyone finding pages on the Internet will get a broken link when they click on it.
