Question How to stop system admins getting emails for all posts

At the moment any admin who has "receive system emails" turned on gets an email whenever anyone posts. How do we turn this off?

We do want the admin to receive new user activation emails though and i believe system emails needs to be turned off for this.

So in essence what we want is an admin account to activate new users, but that does not receive new post notifications.

Thank you for your configuration report. The theoretical way to stop system administrators getting email notifications for all posts is explained (in part) in the topic stop Super user from getting all forum posts . It also may help to understand some general theory about how admins receive email notifications; see Many emails to admin on same post .

According to the information you gave us, your adminstrators should not be receiving notification of every new message posted on your forum. However, it's possible that you set all of your categories to be "moderated" and this may explain why system administrators are receiving emails. I cannot tell you any more because I don't know enough about where your forum is or how you have set up the categories.
