Hi!
I've added a new category to the forum. Does Kunena subscription can include a new category or topic specific users or group of users all over?
Regards!

Is there a way to automatically subscribe ALL users to ALL forum posts? Our client wants to be able to subscriber all their users to every post topic that we've built. They want their users to unsubscribe from topics they're not interested in.
Does Kunena currently do this, or do we have to do some custom programming?
Thanks in advance.

Hi csshneider69,
Currently it is not possible to make all users auto-subscribed to all Kunena forum posts. You can set it up so the subscription option is automatically ticked so when a user creates or replies to a post they are subscribed to the topic.

For our local community website have the same request as Schneider. We would like the option for the administrator to subscribe registered users to some forums. For instance, a forum called "Urgent" where safety and road issues can be mentioned. Of course, users should be able to unsubscribe.
Currently, most of the 3000 residents in our two towns prefer a competing forum (Front Porch Forum) that sends about 20 messages a day on all kinds of topics to all subscribers.
This is a pity, because Kunena is a much better forum with many more options. Most residents are barely beyond email. They will only start to participate when they receive messages as email. Power users would unsubscribe and check the forum at their convenience.

We are using forums for internal discussions, and we want the capability to send email to all the moment someone post a new topic or replies to a topic. Please help how to set this up.

At this moment the easiest way is to ask people to subscribe to the categories they want to follow.

Hi!
Often Happens that there is a new category in the forum.
How can I as an administrator or moderator add a subscription of a new category for the elected members or the entire group?
